We’ve had the pleasure of working on Abbots Gardens numerous times over the years, and with its stunning rear views, it only made sense to enhance this property with a striking glazed feature to deliver that wow factor. By installing bi-fold doors and a glazed Juliet balcony, we maximised the captivating views facing the green belt. To the front, we designed a walk-in wardrobe featuring a 1.2m high wall that maintained privacy while allowing light from the front Velux roof lights to fill the room.
Given that the permitted development allowance was already utilised by a two-story side extension with a pitched roof, we had to think creatively. We integrated a crown roof detail by flattening the pitch, reclaiming some of the previously used 50 cubic meters. This space was essential for executing a hip-to-gable loft conversion. The transformation resulted in a stunning master bedroom with a spacious bathroom and walk-in wardrobe. The outcome was outstanding and featured in the Sunday Times.
