How did we create this loft conversion for our client?Â
With a generously proportioned Victorian home in a great location the direction was going to be one focused on high quality which would have to match the expectation of our client and being a creative architect, we knew it would be a little beyond the typical for an L-Shape Loft conversion. Something a little unique a certainly was.
Key Feature
The external appearance was quite different from standard loft conversions. The rear elevation was set at 70 degrees and had no projecting dormer windows that are typical with mansard style conversions. The staircase was also non-standard and allowed light move around the stairwell very effectively.
Challenges
Our client, being an architect had very strong and specific design ideas regarding the external appearance and internal layout. We had to work together with the client to meet their high standards and provide a design that was both technically different and required creative design input.
Results
Pleased with the end result. A master bedroom with and en-suite was created and the clients were pleased with the end result.
