Other companies had informed them that the loft could not be converted
Whilst other companies had informed them that the loft could not be converted due to insufficient head height, we managed to achieve a finished head height of 2100mm without lowering the existing ceilings or raising the ridge.
Key Features
Another challenge and key feature was the stair location.
If they were above the existing it cut too much into the available floorspace for the new loft room, so they were designed to incorporate part of one of the first-floor bedrooms, which meant we could maximise the overall floorspace for our clients. The new stairs are full of light with velux windows overhead.
