How did we create this loft conversion for our client?
On occasion we have the pleasure of doing something a little different and in this case we created a two level flat in a period townhouse. By adding a new Mansard level and connecting this to the existing second floor we were able to create a separate dwelling for our client.
Key Features
With typical London period style elevations, the conversion enhanced the aesthetics externally and provided a nice open plan living space with great views from the new third level.
Challenges
There are often challenges getting started on multiple occupancy properties with complexity around party wall agreements. This can be simple but in this case it took some time to arrange and prepare the awards. This can be expensive for the client having to bear the costs entirely.
Results
A well presented, high-level apartment with plenty of space, enhancing the value of this well located period townhouse way beyond the level of investment.
